Just off busy Prenzlauer Allee in Prenzlauer Berg you will find the small Marienburger restaurant. Already an institution in the Wins neighborhood, this place offers great no-fuss burgers served in your typical cheerful Berlin style eatery.

Marienburger

Food
On offer here are 11 different meat burgers (180g) as well as 4 vegetarian options. Luckily you can order all of these in a smaller “child size” portion for when you are not that hungry. Meat burgers are juicy and taste quite authentic. Stay away from the “Veggieburger”, which comes with an uninspired patty and and slightly bland rucola pesto – there are better veggie options on the menu!

Service
Fast and friendly. Order inside, sit outside (summertime) and keep an ear out for your order.

Atmosphere
Rock n’ Roll!

Price
Burgers are mostly priced between 3,40 and 4,20 euros, with the two luxury options Steakburger (pork fillet) and the mighty Marienburger (360g beef+bacon+cheese….) for 4,70 and 4,90 respectively. Add 1,30 for fries and 0,90 for organic beef. The smaller portions cost between 2.30-3.70. Find the full menu here.

Verdict
Junk food never tasted so good. Go there if you look for some filling, no frills authentic grub.

While There
Check out the massive bonsai trees in the beautiful Blumen Trang Ly flower shop, or browse Die Schatzinsel (Treasure Island) toy boutique across the street for some cool presents to bring home for the little ones.
